Cave Aggitis river

The Cave of Aggitis Springs, also known as Maara, is located about 25 km northwest of Drama, near the settlement of Piges in the municipality of Prosotsani. It is the largest known river cave in Greece, with a total length of more than 21 km, of which 500 meters are open to visitors. The natural entrance of the cave is the source of the underground river Aggitis, offering unique images with stalactites and illuminated chambers.
