Central Bridge of Trikala

Ten bridges, half of them for pedestrians and cyclists, span the banks of the Lithaios within the city. The oldest and most famous is the central bridge, built of cast iron in France in 1886. The three old stone bridges of the Lithaios have only been preserved on post cards by photographers who recorded Trikala in the early 20th century.
