Roman aqueduct of Nicopolis | Agios Georgios

Ancient Nicopolis was supplied with water from the Louros springs, near Agios Georgios, through a pipe extending over 50 km. Impressive remains of the aqueduc with constructed columns supporting the pipe, can still be seen in the area around the springs and elsewhere.
