Asprovalta

The story of this place starts from a settlement called Aspri Valta, built in the 16th century, south of the Kerdillia Mountain and very close to the sea. Later, the Turkish Giouroukis came and the name changed to Geni Machale. The few Greeks settled in the beach area, i.e the current location of the village. Aprovalta as we know it today was founded in 1923 when families from the Renkoi village arrived. In nowadays, the blue flag beaches and the beach venues attract many visitors during the summer period.
