Church Kimisis (Assumption) of Theotokos | Aiani

The church of Koimisis Theotokou (Assumption of the Virgin), at the centre of Aiani settlement, was used as the katholikon of a monastery during the Turkish rule. The church is estimated to have been built around the 10th-11th centuries. In the church interior we find wall-painting of the late 16th century.
