Drepano beach

Drepanos is the picturesque cape extending into the bay of Igoumenitsa and serving as a natural breakwater. The cape is thickly vegetated with eucalyptus trees and forms one of the loveliest beaches in Thesprotia. A long, sheltered shore of about 6 kilometres forms between Drepanos to Makrygiali, with fine sand and organised beach facilities. North of Drepanos is the wetland at the Kalamas River Delta, with lagoons and rich vegetation providing an important refuge for migratory birds.
