Ambracian Gulf

The Ambracian Gulf is a rich fishing ground. Flathead mulle sea bass, shrimp, bream, sardines and red mullet are fished in the lagoons and waters of the gulf. Avgotaraho, a salted, cured fish roe, is known as the caviar of the Ambracian. Fishing boats deliver their fresh catches to the waterfront fish market.
