Eleftheriou Venizelou street

Venizelou Street from Eleftherias Square to Egnatia was and is one of the city’s main commercial arteries. Most of the handsome buildings that once lined it were either destroyed in the great fire of 1917 or torn down when the street was widened. But some remain, Bourla-Levi and Zenith buildings still lend the city centre an air of another age.
