Macedonian Tomb of Korinos

Macedonian Tomb of Korinos

In the area of Korinos, near the national road rest area, we can find two significant Macedonian tombs dated to the 4th century BC. Although they have been plundered, they still impress with their elaborate architecture. The two Macedonian tombs, separated by the National Highway, are covered by a tree-planted hillock. They have two chambers and their marble front is Doric. Inside, they had two funerary beds of which the archaeologists found only few remnants of decoration. The tombs can be visited through a side road, from Korinos interchange.
