Monastery of Dionysiou

The Monastery of Dionysiou (14th century) stands on a bluff cliff in a deep wooded ravine at the western coast of Athos. The monastery was founded by Agios Dionysios and is dedicated to the Holy Prodromos and celebrates on June 24 and July 7. The Refectory of the monastery is also impressive and has a nice wooden door and interesting wall paintings.
