Waterfalls of Varvara

It may sound strange, but two 15-meter waterfalls and other smaller ones are formed near the village of Varvara, that is surrounded by 23-acre woods. The region, due to its biodiversity, reminds of Pelio, while the winding forest trails are hidden in beech, chestnut and plane trees. A significant element is the presence of the tree “itamos” next the gorge with the waterfalls. To reach it, there is a 3-kilometer dirt road that starts just off Pente Vryses on the road to Olympiada, and a 200m walk. A 4×4 vehicle is necessary for the road.
