Aristotle Park | Stagira

Aristotle Park is located in the village of Stagira at an altitude of 500 meters, offering stunning views amidst lush vegetation. At the entrance of the park stands the statue of Aristotle, the work of the sculptor Nikolas, which was placed in 1956. In 2003, interactive instruments were installed that operate according to natural laws as described in the philosopher’s writings. Each instrument is accompanied by explanatory plaques, and there are also plaques with quotations from Aristotle’s works. Within the park are also the Tower of Madem Aga and its convent, historic buildings that were administrative centres of the Sidirokafsia mines, and next door the Sidirokafsia.
