Monastery of Rodia

The Panagia of Rodia monastery, located at the similarly named lagoon, near the village of Vigla. The monastery was founded in the 10th century and was destroyed during the 1821 War of Independence. The church, with its uniquely elegant cupola, was built in 1860 and its walls were decorated in 1884 by artists from Samarina.
